5th Gear Overdrive is a Classic Rock Band located in Broome County, NY. consisting of six musicians playing your favorite rock music from the 70's, 80's and 90's. 5th Gear is known for their musical versatility, instrumental skills and solid vocals fronted by lead singer, Mocca Shabaz. Several of our members are adept at doubling on instruments, so we can cover multiple guitarists and/or keyboardists while using drums, bass, saxes, harmonica, congas, hand percussion and up to 5 vocalists. If you like Journey, Hall & Oats, The Eagles, Huey Lewis and the News, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Tom Petty and many, many more great bands, look no further.

5th Gear Overdrive regularly performs at upstate New York Casinos, a host of Clubs throughout the Southern Tier of New York and Nothern PA. as well as numerous summer concerts, private parties, corporate events and weddings from Syracuse to Scranton and Elmira to Monticello.
